Michael Jackson’s Unreleased Music Up for Sale; But His Estate Is Trying to Shut It Down!

Michael Jackson’s estate is shutting down what they call a "misleading and desperate attempt" to profit off the King of Pop’s legacy.

Auction site Gotta Have Rock and Roll just put two cassette tapes up for sale, featuring 12 unreleased MJ tracks recorded in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s, right before Dangerous dropped. The starting bid? $85,000 but they expect the tapes to sell for somewhere between $150K and $200K.

But here’s the issue; Michael’s estate is NOT rocking with it. They’re making it clear that these tapes are just copies of the original masters, which they own. Meaning? Whoever wins this auction can’t legally reproduce, release, or profitoff the music.

Dylan Kosinski, who runs the auction site, sees it differently. He claims the tapes are even more valuable because the estate refuses to release the masters. He’s banking on exclusivity driving up the price.

Either way, the auction is live in just a few hours. If you got money to burn and want a piece of MJ history, now’s your chance.
